Ankalaev vs. Pereira (TKO/KO, 1:20 into 1st Round)

From the very start Alex Pereira went on the front foot, quickly attacking Magomed Ankalaev and pushing the champion to the corner. Ankalaev stood strong with his back foot against the fence, but was nailed with an over hand right and Pereira powered into Ankalaev who dropped to the floor. Pereira jumped on top of the champion and rained down elbows forcing the stoppage.

Dvalishvili (Unanimous Decision, 49-45, 49-45, 49-46) vs. Sandhagen

For the co-Main Event, it was an And Still with Merab "the Machine" Dvalishvili dominating Cory Sandhagen after the first round keeping the Bantamweight Title. Dvalishvili had 20 takedowns during the fight, the most in a title fight in UFC history.

As round five started, the crowd got to their feet and cheered the two Bantamweights who were working for the belt. Dvalishvili seemed to get a new sign of life, landing multiple shots and a knee before taking down Sandhagen 30 seconds into the round. The two stood a minute in and went back to trading shots with each other. Neither landed anything too clean until Dvalishvili's right hand forced Sandhagen to turn, and the champion attacked, taking down Sandhagen once again. The challenger responded when he got up, though, with a spinning body kick that landed right in the stomach of Dvalishvili. The champion took down Sandhagen in an awkward position before the two rolled and finally stood up. Sandhagen finally seemed to be on the front foot with two minutes left, almost landing a jumping knee while sending multiple punches Dvalishvili's way. The champion once again, though, grabbed on and took down Sandhagen with 90 seconds left in the final round. The champion would hold him there for a minute before standing up and taking him down two more times. With 20 seconds left, the two would swing in the middle, Sandhagen rocked Dvalishvili, and sent a spinning roundhouse kick in the final moments, but it would not be enough to turn the tables in the final round.

Similar to the other three, Dvalishvili stood and threw with Sandhagen before he shot once again, slamming the challenger down to the mat to start the 4th round. Sandhagen popped up against the fence once more, and the two disengaged with 3:30 remaining. Sandhagen landed a strong left hook to the body, but was met by Dvalishvili, who was continually pushing forward. Sandhagen then threw an overhand left which nailed the Champion, but Dvalishvili pushed Sandhagen back to the fence, taking his back once more. The two stood in the middle with 80 seconds on the clock as both were still throwing jabs to engage. Sandhagen landed a right hook on Dvalishvili before also narrowly missing a knee up the middle. Dvalishvili landed a hip throw and worked to a D'Arce choke, where the round would end.

The third round spelled different chants for the crowd, who switched to a "Merab" chant for the champion. Dvalishvili grabbed a hold of Sandhagen early on, pushing him against the fence about a minute in and taking control of his back. The two pushed away with Sandhagen swinging wildly and missing. Dvalishvili traded once again with the challenger, showing off his boxing skills and landing a few shots. He continued to throw punches until just under three minutes, when he went for a single-leg again and pushed Sandhagen back to the fence once again. With two minutes remaining, Sandhagen almost caught the Champion with a high-kick, but Dvalishvili got the hand up at the last second. He then pushed the pace once more, driving Sandhagen back to the fence before taking him down in the middle of the ring. They stood up once more, with Sandhagen throwing at the head of Dvalishvili, who continued to evade until taking down the No. 4 contender once again with 40 seconds left in the round. After getting back to his feet against the fence, Dvalishvili took down Sandhagen once more, tagging his eighth takedown of the match.

Twenty seconds into the second round, Dvalishvili immediately went for a single-leg takedown, which Sandhagen pushed away initially. The champion pushed him to the fence, though, and it was only 30 seconds later that Dvalishvili got him to the mat for a few moments. The two separated with just under 4 minutes left in the round, and the "Cory" chants started to erupt at T-Mobile Arena. Dvalishvili pushed forward, landing a flurry of shots that brought Sandhagen all the way down, almost forcing a stoppage. Dvalishvili continued to push on the attack, landing a suplex takedown on Sandhagen with 2:10 left in the round. There was still a lot of time left, and Sandhagen looked like he was struggling. Dvalishviliv threw Sandhagen to the mat two more times, continuously having Sandhagen get back up to the fence before doing it the next time. Dvalishvili then threw an ankle-pick takedown, landing in standing mount over the challenger before ending in full guard with a minute to go. Sandhagen looked to escape, but every time he did, Dvalishvili pulled him back in, throwing him back to the ground. The two stood with 10 seconds remaining as Dvalishvili taunted his opponent, knowing he likely just won the round 10-8.

For the co-Main Event, the two started in the middle of the octagon, with both -- similar to those before -- sizing each other up. Dvalishvili began with the first flurry of attacks, which was met by Sandhagen responding with a few of his own, though none landed hard. Sandhagen caught Dvalishvili numerous times, but the Georgian shot the first takedown, grabbing a hold of the front leg, a little over three minutes in, but Sandhagen turned it away. Dvalishvili landed a straight right, then immediately went for another takedown, which the challenger stuffed. Dvalishvili pushed Sandhagen to the fence, where he held them, slowly damaging the leg before finally taking Sandhagen to the mat, landing his first takedown of the night with 2:15 left in the round. After both stood up, Sandhagen threw a few punches and kicks that landed on the champion, though he did not seem concerned. Dvalishvili went for another takedown with 1:10 left in the round, but it was turned away once again. Sandhagen nailed Dvalishvili with a knee with 30 seconds left in the round, which seemed to spark something in the champion, throwing numerous shots that had Sandhagen land another knee late in the round.

No. 2 Procházka (KO/TKO, 3:04 into 3rd Round) vs. No. 4 Rountree Jr.

Jirí Procházka knocked out Khalil Rountree Jr. in the third round with 3:04 remaining, with a left-right-left combination.

The third round started yet again with fireworks, both men standing and swinging in the middle before things slowed down once again 30 seconds in. Procházka pushed the pace a minute in, forcing Rountree against the fence, and the two traded. Procházka hit Rountree with another jumping knee before both landed a flurry of punches. Procházka was on the attack but still took a large number of shots in return. Then Procházka nailed Rountree with multiple punches, including a left and right with 3:15 left in the round. Both fighters looked exhausted, but Procházka pushed on the attack. The two battled in the clinch with 2:50 left, where Rountree worked into a guillotine, let go and nailed Procházka with an elbow. Procházka returned with an elbow of his own and then hit Rountree with a spinning elbow. They then both started throwing in chaos, before Procházka nailed Rountree with a left-right-left to knock out Rountree Jr.

The crowd erupted to start the second round, with both fighters still out of breath from the prior. Rountree came out swinging with a right hook that caught air. Procházka landed a spinning elbow but met resistance shortly after by Rountree with a few jabs. The two continued to trade in the middle, and the pace finally slowed, but not before Rountree hit Procházka with an overhand right with 3:45 left in the second round. Procházka landed a right with just over 3 minutes to go, but found a response from Rountree: a continued theme of the fight. Halfway through the second round, neither fighter had separated themselves, with both landing solid shots on the other. Procházka seemed to be on the front foot with about one minute left, but couldn't get anything going offensively. On the other side, it also seemed Rountree was struggling to find space, though. With 20 seconds left, the fatigue was evident on Rountree, who was still being stalked by Procházka, but the round would end with Rountree up two round on Procházka.

To start the first round, both Light Heavyweights stepped together, feeling each other out, with Rountree and Jirí chants sounding throughout T-Mobile Arena. Neither fighter had thrown a punch for the first minute until Procházka threw a low kick, which was responded to by a few wild strikes from Rountree that missed. A high kick from Procházka missed, which was followed by an overhand that missed from Rountree. He did not miss his next strike, though, nailing Procházka on the nose with a right hand. Halfway through the first round, it seemed both fighters were still feeling each other out. Rountree started the action with a few body shots before Procházka went with a jumping knee and left hand. Rountree responded with a few shots that landed on Procházka. The two finally started letting them fly, with Procházka hitting a question mark kick and Rountree responding with punches of his own. With a minute left in the first round, Rountree nailed Procházka with a punch that sent Procházka backwards. With 20 seconds left, Rountree hit Procházka with a few solid shots before the horn sent both of them to their corners to end Round 1.

No. 8 Emmett vs. No. 9 Zalal (Submission, 1:38 into 1st Round)

With the crowd behind him, the +380 underdog Josh Emmett (now 19-6-0) and Youssef Zalal (now 18-5-1) met in the middle of the octagon to start the first round. Zalal made the first move, with a single-leg takedown, bringing Emmett easily down to the ground and taking his back less than a minute in. Emmett worked to get on top but verbally tapped as his arm was fully extended in an arm-bar in stacked guard.

Magomedov vs. Pyfer (Submission, 1:44 into 2nd Round)

The American Joe Pyfer (now 15-3-0) forced the tap from Abus Magomedov (now 28-7-1) 1:44 into the second round during the first fight of the Main Card.

To start the second round, Pyfer came out firing with two huge rights that knocked Magomedov down to the floor. He then jumped on top of the German, throwing multiple elbows. Pyfer then worked to an arm triangle, which seemed to be locked in, but Magomedov escaped with blood showing for the first time on the top of the forehead. Pyfer worked to the back of Magomedov and continued to crank into a rear naked choke, which forced Magomedov to tap.

With USA chants raining down on the octagon, Pyfer and Magomedov touched gloves to start the first fight of the main card. The two Middleweights bounced around before Pyfer made the first move, attempting a takedown which Magomedov easily denied up against the cage. Pyfer continued to push, though, throwing Magomedov to the canvas, before being flipped around with Pyfer on the bottom in half guard. With three minutes left, Pyfer went for a triangle choke, barely slipping over the top of Magomedov. The underdog Magomedov slammed Pyfer back on the ground and almost locked in an arm-bar, but the American escaped. With 70 seconds left in the round, Pyfer worked it back to the feet, pushing Magomedov to the side of the cage. The two would disengage with 40 seconds and head back to the middle of the octagon. Magomedov landed a stiff right hand on Pyfer and then followed up with a left a few moments later. Pyfer landed an overhand right of his own as the round dwindled to 10 seconds remaining.

Gautier (KO/TKO, 1:41 into 1st Round) vs. Vines

The heavy favorite, Ateba Gautier (now 10-1-0) was riding a 7 fight knockout streak, and he added No. 8 only 1:41 into the first round against Tres'ton Vines (now 10-4-1).

To start the fight, Gautier was on the front foot with Vines running around before the underdog went for a takedown one minute in. Gautier hit him with a heavy knee forcing him back to the fence. Shortly after though, Vines went for the takedown again and ate multiple hard punches eating multiple hard elbows where he would fall flat to the mat. Gautier came in with the follow up and the fight was stopped immediately after.

Santos (KO/TKO, 0:21 into 2nd Round) vs. Yoo

Daniel Santos (now 14-2-0) knocked out JooSang Yoo (now 9-1-0) 21 seconds into the second round after a huge left hook, giving Yoo his first professional loss.

To start the second round, Yoo seemed confident once again, but he walked directly into a multitude of strikes from Santos, mainly a left hook that caught him and sent him to the floor. Santos then jumped on Yoo and finished it with multiple hammer fists before the fight was stopped 21 seconds into the round.

An anticipated catchweight fight, Yoo and Santos battled it out with both fighters swinging for big shots. The first moment was when Santos entered the clinch with Yoo, and Yoo fired a knee up the middle, which landed. They continued to battle in the middle with Santos throwing spinning kicks and Yoo mocking him while spinning himself with a smile, getting the crowd involved. Santos then threw a takedown and brought Yoo to the mat. Though up against the fence, Yoo was still throwing punches at Santos, and even put his head and arm on Santos as if he was resting. He once again waved his hands at Santos as the two stood up, and Santos continued to throw wildly at a dodging Yoo. With 15 seconds left in the round, Santos and Yoo both traded two shots apiece that landed. Santos threw one last spinning back kick that caught air once again.

Mix vs. Wiklacz (29-28, 29-28, 28-29, Split Decision)

Jakub Wiklacz (now 17-3-2) came up with a huge victory beating Patchy Mix (now 20-3-0) in an extremely tight split decision. Mix, the former Bellator champion, is now 0-2 in the UFC.

The two Bantamweights went at it to start the third round, with Mix landing another takedown, and shaking away Wiklacz's choke hold. They wrestled on the ground for another few minutes, with Mix continuing to win multiple sprawls. Mix continued to hold Wiklacz down with two minutes to go, not landing many punches, but still holding control despite the boos raining down from the crowd. They finally stood with 20 seconds left, where Mix took Wiklacz's back and would hold him down with significant strikes in the final seconds. This was the only round that Mix won cleanly.

The two traded on the feet to start the second round once more, before Mix brought Wiklacz to the canvas once more, landing his second takedown of the night. When the two finally pushed away, Mix landed a foot right before Wiklacz responded with two of his own. With half the round to go, Mix pushed Wijlacz against the fence once more and took him down for his third takedown on just as many attempts. Mix and Wijlacz stood with just about 90 seconds left in the second round and battled it out on the feet. Mix threw more punches, while Wiklacz threw kicks and elbows. With 36 seconds remaining in the round, Wiklacz hit a kick that landed below the belt, which paused the fight briefly. They resumed shortly after, with Mix having noticeable swelling on his right eye. The round would end in the clinch directly in the middle. The second round went in favor of Wiklacz's favor in 2/3 judges' scorecards.

The Bantamweight battle started with Wiklacz trying to get his kicks involved. Mix pushed him against the fence, where Wiklacz got a chokehold, but Mix brought him to the ground either way. The two traded blows on the ground, with Mix having the majority of control in full guard. Wiclacz used his choke hold to flip Mix to his back and took top control with about two minutes remaining in the first round. Wiklacz moved to side control with about a minute left in the round and landed a few elbows on Mix, but nothing of any danger for the American. The two were pushed against the fence until the round came to an end.

Shahbazyan (KO/TKO, 4:58 into 1st Round) vs. Muniz

Edmen Shahbazyan (now 16-5-0) started the prelims off with fireworks as he knocked out Andre Muniz (now 24-8-0) at the very end of the first round after a huge left-right combination. He is now tied for the most knockouts among active UFC Middleweights (6).

To start the fight, Muniz landed a high kick on Shahbazyan as the southpaw was working his distance on the orthodox Shahbazyan. Muniz would shoot for the first takedown with three minutes left in the round, as Shahbazyan pushed it aside, hitting Muniz with a right hand as he left as well. The two traded in the pocket numerous times, with neither getting any significant connections as they passed two minutes remaining in the round. They would continue to feel their opponent out with distance as Muniz landed a right hand with 45 seconds left in the round. He then pushed Shahbazyan to the cage and finally down to the mat with a late takedown. With 15 seconds left, Muniz landed a right, and Shahbazyan responded with a left hook and a right uppercut combination, knocking Muniz to the canvas. He finished him with a flurry of fists and a few major elbows to secure the TKO in the dying moments of the first round.

Soriano (30-27 x3, Unanimous Decision) vs. Veretennikov

To end the Early Prelims, Punahele Soriano (now 12-4-0) defeated Nikolay Veretennikov (now 13-7-0) in a welterweight battle that went to decision once more, with Soriano being named the winner by a score 30-27, x3.

The third round was similar to the first two, with Soriano pushing for a takedown early but only getting Veretennikov to the fence. He then flipped Veretennikov, but the Ukrainian locked in another guillotine momentarily. After working on the ground for a while, Soriano escaped with half of the third round to go and entered back into side control. With a minute left in the round, the two were stood up by the referee, but Soriano shot a takedown immediately after, which was addressed by a tight guillotine choke by Veretennikov. Soriano narrowly escaped with about five seconds left in the final round, throwing multiple wild ground-and-pound strikes as the fight ended.

To start the second round, Soriano immediately went after Veretennikov, slamming him down once again to the mat, landing another early takedown. The two grappled on the canvas, with Soriano maintaining top position and landing strikes on Veretennikov -- still on his back and up against the fence. Veretennikov then was able to switch positions and get the back of Soriano, briefly locking in a guillotine before Soriano switched right back flipping Veretennikov to his back. Soriano moved to standing mount where he nailed Veretennikov with multiple big shots while the round was ending.

To start, the two touched gloves before Soriano shot his first takedown 20 seconds in. Veretennikov pushed it aside, landing a few good knees and elbows while in the clinch. The two spralled, with Veretennikov locking in a guillotine choke on Soriano who took him down in the process. As soon as Veretennikov let go of the choke, Soriano landed a flurry of left hands and elbows while Veretennikov was stuck in a bad spot lying up against the fence. Soriano continued the barrage with elbows as the first round passed the halfway point -- Veretennikov still in a terrible spot. With about a minute to go, Veretennikov finally got his hands on Soriano to pull him in closer, but Soriano was still well in control and stayed in the commanding spot for the remaining seconds of the round.

No. 5 Chiasson vs. No. 10 Santos (29-28 x3, Unanimous Decision)

The underdog No.10 Yana Santos now (17-8-0)won the first two rounds against No. 5 Macy Chiasson (now 11-5-0) in a women's bantamweight battle, seeing Santos get the unanimous decision victory.

In the third and final round, Chiasson pushed the pace, moving Santos back behind the black line and toward the fence. As the round continued to progress, it looked as though Chiasson was losing gas, as Santos continued to hop around the octagon, making her opponent chase her. Chiasson finally caught up, pushing Santos to the fence halfway through the round. The two would stay against the fence until just under two minutes, when Chiasson wrestled her opponent to the mat, where she would have control. Chiasson got Santos' back and rained down shots before she looked to lock in a guillotine choke. With the clock winding down, the horn sounded with Chiasson easily taking the third round, but in a tough spot overall.

Similar to the first round, the main engagements between the two were in the clinch for the early part of the round. About a minute in, though, Santos landed a few heavy shots on Chiasson, including an uppercut that landed right on the chin. Santos continued to land knees before Chiasson finally took down her opponent against the cage. They stood with 40 seconds left in the round, trading shots in the clinch before once again grappling against the fence. With ten seconds left in the round, Santos landed a high kick straight down the middle, which got Chiasson right on the chin, making it a close decision for the second round, though looking in Santos' favor.

During the first round, Chiasson and Santos battled it out in a women's Bantamweight scrap that had solid implications for the division. With not a lot happening early on, the two engaged first in the clinch, with both fighters throwing a myriad of shots toward the other's direction. Santos controlled Chiasson to the cage before the two disengaged, each throwing a shot toward the other's direction. With 90 seconds remaining in the round, Santos pushed Chiasson back to the fence once more, controlling under-hooks on her opponent. They continued to stay locked onto each other until about 15 seconds left when Santos landed a solid elbow and a stiff left hand, taking the round.

Gutierrez vs. Basharat (29-28 x3, Unanimous Decision)

Farid Basharat (now 14-0-0) comfortably took the first two rounds over Chris Gutierrez (now 22-7-2) in his unanimous decision victory over Chris Gutierrez in the third fight of the Early Prelims.

The third round started with Gutierrez pushing the pace, knocking back Basharat with a right hand, before he followed up by whipping Basharat to the canvas: his first offensive maneuver of the entire fight. Basharat bounced right to his feet, where he would swing wildly before calming down and setting his feet in the middle of the octagon. Gutierrez landed another solid shot as he slipped right, accompanied by a right hand that landed on the cheek of his opponent. With just over two minutes left in the final round, Basharat landed an easy double-leg takedown on Gutierrez. The two would stand shortly after, with a minute left in the round. Gutierrez landed a spinning backfist with about 30 seconds left, and followed it up a few moments later with a right that knocked down Basharat, but could not get the finish, resulting in the second decision of the night.

A second round was similar to the beginning of the first, as the two battled for position in the center of the octagon for the first two minutes. Basharat seemed to be on the attack, knowing he had easily won the first round. Gutierrez seemed wild with his kicks, which would ultimately cost him, as he swung and missed, inviting Basharat to land a right hand that caught Gutierrez's attention. The two continued to bang on the feet, with Basharat landing a straight right, which connected on Gutierrez. He then pushed Gutierrez back to the fence before releasing him with 45 seconds left in the round. The two danced in the middle while the clock dwindled to a close, with Basharat throwing a rolling thunder kick, which did not catch anything.

Much as the previous two fights had, the beginning of the first round was a feeling-out period for the two. It wasn't until halfway through the first round that Basharat made a level change and landed the first takedown of the match. Basharat worked his way to standing mount before falling back down to a mount position. Gutierrez did his best to continue to defend from below, but Basharat continuously landed punches to the side of Gutierrez's head. They would stay on the mat until the horn sounded, signaling the end of the first round.

Brahimaj vs. Vanderford (Submission, 2:24 into 2nd Round)

In the middle of the second round, Ramiz Brahimaj (now 13-5-0) submitted Austin Vanderford (now 13-3-0) with a guillotine choke up against the cage for the first finish of the night.

In the second round, Brahimaj started hot with a few punches followed by a right high kick nailing Vanderford on the ear. In a panic, Vanderford immediately followed up with a takedown, which Brahimaj fought against, but ultimately was brought down once again up against the cage. The two would grapple on the ground until Brahimaj forced action with numerous excellent elbows that cut Vanderford open on the eyebrow. Brahimaj took Vanderford's back and ultimately locked in a guillotine choke to secure the tap.

To start the fight, both Welterweights stood and launched the occasional strike to see their opponents' range, but it was mainly the two throwing feints to set up for later. The first big moment was when Vanderford nailed Brahimaj with a leg kick three minutes in. Shortly after, Vanderford landed a takedown on Brahimaj against the cage, where he would hold him for the next two and a half minutes until the end of the first round.

Hardy vs. Walker (30-27 x3, Unanimous Decision)

In the first fight of the night, heavy favorite Veronica Hardy beat Brogan Walker in a unanimous decision (30-27, x3).

The third and final round started the same as the first two, with Walker and Hardy trading on the feet. Hardy continued to apply pressure, controlling the center of the Octagon, though Walker continued to challenge her for it. Two minutes into the final round, the two had not landed any major shots until Hardy finally connected with a left-right-left combination. Both continued to stay passive until about 90 seconds left in the round when Walker landed her third takedown and immediately took Hardy's back. It seemed to be Hardy on the attack in bottom position, looking for a Kimura, but the two would end on the ground, sending the first fight to a decision.

Round No. 2 began with the two fighters exchanging on the feet, both still sizing up their opponent. The first big exchange was with about three minutes remaining in the round, when Hardy landed a leg kick followed by a right hook, but it only seemed to graze Walker. Shortly after, though, Hardy nailed Walker with a punch, knocking her to the canvas momentarily before she jumped right back up. The two flyweights continued to exchange on the feet, with Hardy landing the large majority of the shots. With 15 seconds left in the round, Walker garnered herself a second takedown on an off-balance Hardy, where she would land a few hammer fists late in the round -- but not enough for her to take Round 2.

In the first round, the heavy favorite Hardy dominated from the jump, landing numerous shots before knocking Walker to the mat with a left, followed by an easy double-leg takedown. Hardy controlled until just about a minute left in the round, when Walker finally stood, but was hit by a hard kick in the process. Walker landed a takedown of her own, but was not able to follow up as Hardy waited while pulling guard. In the final moments, Hardy locked in an arm-bar, which she held until the bell.
