LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Alexis Díaz and placed left-handed pitcher Tanner Scott on the injured list with left elbow inflammation.

Scott, 31, left the game in the ninth inning last night after experiencing a "stinging sensation," as stated by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts in yesterday's postgame press conference.
Roberts also mentioned yesterday to the media that Scott was feeling "Emotionally not well," as his initial reaction, but during the pregame presser before Tuesday afternoon's matchup, Roberts stated that he and Scott feel much better about the outcome. The Dodgers skipper also believes that this will not be a season-ending injury and expects Scott back on the mound in due time.
“Just given the way he feels, we’re in a better spot than we were last night," Roberts stated.
With Scott being placed on the injured list, he becomes the 18th Dodgers pitcher to be placed on the IL. Scott so far has a 1-2 with a 4.14 ERA and 19 saves in 26 chances so far in 2025.
Díaz, 28, returns for his second stint with the team. He was acquired on May 29 from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for minor league pitcher Mike Villani.
He made eight appearances for Oklahoma City, going 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA and six strikeouts in 6.2 innings. Díaz last pitched for OKC this past Saturday, tossing a scoreless inning while striking out two.
Dodgers General Manager Brandon Gomes said that the Dodgers were highly impressed by Díaz's work after working with the staff up in Arizona.
"We've seen flashes of really good stuff out there. Especially his last outing was super encouraging," Gomes said.
With yet another Dodgers arm on the injured list, the need for bullpen help and starting pitchers has become a top priority more than ever. Roberts mentioned this cause of concern during the Tuesday pregame presser.
“Getting somebody that can really take down right-handed hitters is something everyone knows we’re looking at," Roberts said.
