INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Veteran point guard Chris Paul is coming home.
Paul, a 12‑time All‑Star, has signed a one‑year contract with the Los Angeles Clippers for the 2025‑26 NBA season, his 21st and likely final year in the league, according to multiple sources. The deal, reportedly worth $3.6 million, reunites Paul with the franchise where he starred from 2011–2017.

At 40, Paul returns fresh off a season with the San Antonio Spurs in which he started and played in all 82 games, averaging 8.8 points and 7.4 assists per game. Despite a decline in scoring, his court vision, leadership and veteran savvy remain highly valued.
Paul returns to a Clippers roster that has undergone a dramatic transformation this summer. Alongside Paul, the team has added Bradley Beal, John Collins and Brook Lopez, diversifying its depth after last year’s first-round playoff exit.
The front office believes Paul’s veteran presence will help balance minutes for aging stars such as Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and Beal. Reports suggest Paul will play a complementary role, not the featured ball‑handler he once was during the “Lob City” era.
