Caitlin Clark’s impact on the WNBA is extending far beyond the hardwood and into sportsbooks across the country.

According to data from Hard Rock Bet, Clark has not only energized ticket sales and television ratings since her professional debut with the Indiana Fever, but she has also transformed how fans wager on the WNBA. Her games have generated massive increases in both betting volume and total handle, marking one of the most significant betting shifts in women’s sports history.

Through the first week of July, WNBA games featuring Clark have seen a 40% increase in total handle and a 28.6% rise in bet volume compared to league averages, according to Hard Rock Bet. Her individual player props alone account for 18.4% of all wagers placed on Fever games—numbers that outpace betting activity around major stars in other sports.

For comparison, a recent sample of 10 games for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes showed just 8.4% of bets focused on Mahomes props. In baseball, 11.2% of bets on New York Yankees games in a similar sample were on Aaron Judge. NBA legends like LeBron James (12.7%) and current MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (14.5%) also fell short of Clark’s WNBA betting influence.

When fans bet on Clark, they’re overwhelmingly betting on the over—88% of Clark-related bets at Hard Rock Bet are on her to exceed statistical expectations.

Clark is also dominating futures markets, even in categories where she is not the statistical frontrunner. Despite Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier being the current favorite to win the 2025 WNBA MVP at -550, only 7.1% of MVP tickets are on Collier, while 53.4% of bets have backed Clark. She also leads the handle, accounting for 64.1% of the money wagered on the award.

In the WNBA scoring title race, Clark has drawn 55.6% of bets and 74.7% of the total handle at Hard Rock Bet, despite averaging 16.5 points per game—15th in the league and second on her own team behind Kelsey Mitchell.

Clark’s presence has helped turn the Fever into one of the most bet-on teams in professional basketball. Indiana currently holds a 12-11 record and is +600 to win the WNBA title, yet 73.3% of the handle and 45.2% of title futures bets at Hard Rock Bet are on the Fever.

That’s compared to just 8.7% of bets and 6.4% of the handle on the league-leading Minnesota Lynx (20-4), and 6.7% of bets and 5.3% of the handle on the defending champion New York Liberty (15-6).

Even when Clark isn’t in uniform, Fever games still outperform the rest of the league in betting action. In the 10 games Clark has missed this season, Indiana games have still attracted 32% more handle and 17.4% more bets than the league average.

With the WNBA All-Star Game approaching, Clark’s influence on betting markets underscores her growing star power—not just as a basketball phenom, but as one of the most marketable and wagered-on athletes in professional sports.
