ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks’ quest to snap a seven-season playoff drought will begin in Seattle on Oct. 9 and will open at home against Pittsburgh on Oct. 14, as the league’s 2025-26 season schedule was announced on Wednesday.

The Ducks open away from home for the third consecutive season with a two-game road set against the Kraken on that opening Thursday night followed by a Saturday night affair at the Shark Tank in San Jose on Oct. 11–the first of two nights where all 32 NHL teams will play on the same night.

The other all-32 night is Oct. 28, when the Ducks will play at the Florida Panthers as part of the Frozen Frenzy featuring staggered start times and Red Zone-esque whiparound coverage on ESPN.

Anaheim will return home to Honda Center and its then-newly operational parking garages for the home opener against the Penguins on Tuesday, Oct. 14 and against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday, Oct. 16.

The Ducks will play just three home games in the opening month of October, as the Ducks then go on East on a five-game road trip to return home for John Gibson's homecoming in a Halloween affair against the Detroit Red Wings to kick off a three-game homestand.

Anaheim opens the season with 12 of its first 18 games on the road. The Ducks will then host nine of their next 11 games at home, including a six-game homestand capped by the traditional Black Friday 1 p.m. matinee against Corey Perry and the Los Angeles Kings–the first Freeway Face-Off of the season.

Anaheim will play at Los Angeles on Dec. 27, and the Ducks and Kings will play a home-and-home back-to-back to close out their season series on Friday, Jan. 16 at Crypto.com Arena and Saturday, Jan. 17 at Honda Center.

That January set with the Kings is one of 11 back-to-back sets for Anaheim this season, including four sets of back-to-back home games–all part of the schedule crush due to the Winter Olympic break in February.

The Ducks will be at home for New Year’s Eve once again with a 1 p.m. start against Tampa Bay.

Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba will make their returns to Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers on Dec. 15.

The Ducks will face former teammate Trevor Zegras in Philadelphia on Jan. 8, but Zegras won't make his return to Honda Center until March 18.

Anaheim will host its second-longest homestand in franchise history with a season-long nine-game stretch split up by the Winter Olympic break in February into early March. The Ducks will host Vegas on Feb. 1 and Seattle on Feb. 3 before breaking until Feb. 25 against Edmonton for the first of seven straight at home through March 8.

The NHL Winter Olympic break is officially Feb. 6-24, as the Ducks’ Lukas Dostal and Radko Gudas (Czechia) and prospect Damian Clara (Italy) fly to Milan for the Winter Olympics.

The Ducks have three five-game road trips this season, their longest stretches away from home in the 2025-26 campaign. From Oct. 19-28, Anaheim will travel to Chicago, Nashville, Boston, Tampa Bay and Florida. From Dec. 9-16, the Ducks will play at Pittsburgh, the New York Islanders, New Jersey, the New York Rangers and Columbus. Finally, from Jan. 21-29, Anaheim goes to Colorado, Seattle, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

Anaheim’s home finale is April 12 against Vancouver, and the Ducks will close on the road with games at Minnesota on April 14 and at Nashville on April 16.

The Ducks open the preseason against the Kings on Sept. 21 at Toyota Arena in Ontario, host Utah on Sept. 22 and Los Angeles on Sept. 24, play the Kings in Bakersfield on Sept. 27 and host San Jose on Sept. 29. Anaheim closes the preseason at San Jose on Oct. 4 and at Los Angeles on Oct. 4.
