LOS ANGELES — Fox Sports made a sweeping programming overhaul on Monday, parting ways with prominent host Joy Taylor and canceling three FS1 talk shows, according to multiple reports.
Taylor, who joined Fox Sports in 2016 and co-hosted “Speak” alongside Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce, will not have her contract renewed, network sources confirmed. The network also pulled the plug on “Speak,” as well as its two morning shows, “Breakfast Ball” and “The Facility.”
“Breakfast Ball,” a morning program featuring Craig Carton, Mark Schlereth and Danny Parkins, and “The Facility,” hosted by Emmanuel Acho, Chase Daniel, James Jones and LeSean McCoy, were shuttered after failing to gain traction.
The shake-up comes amidst ongoing network turbulence. Fox Sports has recently contended with sexual harassment allegations tied to former programming executive Charlie Dixon, who was dismissed earlier this year. Taylor was named in one of the lawsuits but denies any wrongdoing.
Despite the cancellations, FS1 plans to maintain anchor programs such as Colin Cowherd’s The Herd and First Things First with Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes. New replacements are expected to debut later this summer with Front Office Sports reporting that Max Kellerman, Tony Reali and Kay Adams are being considered for hosting roles.
