Aces star A’ja Wilson will miss Thursday's game against the Washington Mystics with a right wrist injury, per the team's updated status report.
The reigning WNBA MVP fell hard Tuesday, after driving to the basket in Brooklyn during the first half of Las Vegas' 87-78 loss to the defending champion New York Liberty.
Wilson appeared to be writhing in pain immediately after the play. The 28-year-old three-time MVP briefly returned to the game and refused to allow her team to use one of its timeouts to substitute her out, coach Becky Hammon said after the game.
Per Washington Post reporter Kareem Copeland, in a social media post: "Wilson was getting shots up during the open period of shootaround."

Wilson confirmed Wednesday morning that she underwent an MRI in a social media post.
"Welp! Nothing wakes you up like the sound of an MRI machine lol! but just wanna say thank you all for prayers! NYL thank you sooooo much for the quick help & privacy. I truly appreciate it," Wilson wrote. "To my squad, thank you for preventing my crash out lol! God has a plan that I’ll never question. We are gonna be alright!"
Wilson leads the Aces in every major statistical category: points (20.7), rebounds (8.7), steals (1.7) and blocks (2.4) per game.
She also ranks second in the WNBA in points and rebounds per game, among players who have played 10 games minimum.
Thursday marks the fourth game Wilson will have missed, after missing three games while in concussion protocol after being hit in the head by Los Angeles Sparks star and former Ace, Dearica Hamby on June 11.
The Aces were 2-1 without Wilson.
Hammon said Wilson "absolutely does not want to sit out or go out of a game."
Per Wednesday's status report, Megan Gustafson is probable for the game against the Mystics, and could make her season debut in Wilson's absence.
Gustafson, who suffered a Grade 3 ankle sprain in training camp, averaged 3.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game last season.
