OKLAHOMA CITY -- Some good news coming down from the Dodgers farm system as right hander Emmet Sheehan has completed his first rehab start for the Oklahoma City Comets.
Sheehan, 25, completed two scoreless innings in his start against the Las Vegas Aviators, only allowing two hits, no walks, and striking out five. The right-hander recently finished his first rehab assignment back on Memorial Day, pitching against the Dodgers' Rookie-level Arizona Complex affiliate. He struck out five of the six batters that he faced en route to another impressive rehab appearance.

Sheehan displayed promise in his array of pitches, with his fastball clocking in at 97-98 mph, his breaking ball at 84 mph, and his slider at 88 mph. The 25-year-old induced weak contact and piled up whiffs at a steady rate.
Good to have you back, Emmet!

The presence of Sheehan in the rotation will have a significant impact, and the Dodgers will soon see him sporting Dodger Blue again, as the end of June is when we can expect the right-hander back on the mound, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register.
