This news comes as no surprise, as in his last start, Glasnow was removed while warming up for the second inning with what the Dodgers announced as right shoulder discomfort. He pitched only one inning of work and threw 17 pitches. With this IL stint announcement, Glasnow is the 13th Dodgers pitcher to be placed on the injured list.
During Monday afternoon's pregame pressers, manager Dave Roberts gave more insight into the overall condition of the right-hander and stated that, instead of being a right shoulder issue, Glasnow was dealing with "overall body soreness." Roberts also said that they did no type of imaging on his shoulder and that there was nothing structurally wrong with his shoulder.
Right-handed pitcher Noah Davis was the corresponding move, and in his three appearances for Los Angeles, he has a 10.13 ERA in 2.2 innings pitched with three strikeouts and a 1.88 WHIP.
The Dodgers will begin a long slew of games heading into the new month and will be dependent on their bullpen and hope for the best for the return of the Cat Man, Tony Gonsolin, who is set to make his 2025 season debut this Wednesday.
