Golden Knights play Seattle Kraken with division title hanging in the balance

The Golden Knights play the Seattle Kraken, with the division title still to be won. Vegas is coming off an overtime shootout defeat to the Colorado Avalanche, which they lost 3-2. This season, tonight's matchup marks the final game between the Golden Knights and the Kraken. They have a 1-0-1 record against Seattle, with that loss coming in the first matchup on the 4th of November in the Climate Pledge Arena.

The Golden Knights could seal the Pacific Division title tonight if Vegas wins against Seattle tonight and the Kings lose in Regulation against the Ducks, who also play tonight.

Knights Last Game

The Golden Knights only managed a point in their last game against the Avalanche back on Tuesday night. William Karlsson and Brayden McNabb scored to give Vegas a 2-0 lead in the second period, but Colorado, unfortunately, was able to tie it and win the shootout in the third round.

The Seattle Kraken have been eliminated from Postseason contention for the second time in three years. They rank seventh in the Pacific Division, with only 74 points, and lost by a shocking score of 7-1 in Utah last time out on Tuesday. The only goal scored by the Kraken in their loss was by Jared McCann.

Jared McCann leads the team in scoring with 21 goals, and former Golden Knights player Chandler Stephenson, who played at the fortress for 5 seasons and was a part of the 2023 Stanley Cup-winning team, has 13 goals and 38 assists this year.
