The Vegas Golden Knights added yet another win to the collection on Tuesday night as they grabbed the momentum early and never looked back in a 4-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center.

After a quiet start to the opening period, Mark Stone used his 11th score of the season to get Vegas on the board and open the scoring. Stone, who notched his 600th career point in the team's win against the Sabres last Saturday, earned his 100th goal as a Golden Knight with the score on Tuesday.

Less than two minutes later, Zach Whitecloud used his third score of the season to make it 2-0.

It was an impressive shot from Whitecloud, who managed to sneak the puck under the legs of San Jose goaltender Alexandar Georgiev.

The lone goal of the second period came from Sharks' left-winger William Ekund, who used his eighth goal of the season to cut the deficit in half. The Golden Knights would take a 2-1 lead into the final period.

Victor Olofsson quickly helped Vegas gain some more breathing room, as he took advantage of a power play to score his ninth of the season and make it a two-goal lead once more.

Thanks to a beautiful feed from Jack Eichel, Olofsson was able to lay it in the net. He has now scored twice in his last four games.

San Jose would not go down easily, however, as they delivered a power play goal of their own via the stick of Timothy Liljegren. However, Golden Knights' goalie Ilya Samsonov would provide some clutch defense the rest of the way to help keep the Sharks off the board.

Samsonov finished the day saving 20 of 22 shots as he kept San Jose off the board for the final ten minutes of the third period. He is 10-3-1 this season.

Before the game reached its end, Thomas Hertl would give Vegas their fourth goal of the night as he cashed in on the empty-net situation in the final minutes. Hertl is now tied with Jack Eichel and Mark Stone for the third most scores on the team.

With the victory, the Golden Knights won the season series over the Sharks 3-0 and improved their record to 28-9-3. As for San Jose, they fell to 13-24-6 and snapped a two-game winning streak.

Vegas, now with 59 points and in control in the Pacific Division, will head back home as they prepare for a three-game home stand. They host the Islanders on Thursday night, who currently sit in last place in the Metropolitan Division with just 37 points on the year.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
