USC women's secure first Big Ten win, Watkins records 7th straight 20-point game taken at Matthew McKnight Arena (USC)

EUGENE, Ore. — JuJu Watkins scored 21 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds, and Kiki Iriafen scored 17 points to lift No. 6 USC (8-1) to a 66-53 Big Ten victory Saturday over Oregon (7-3) before 7,246 at Matthew Knight Arena.

USC opens its inaugural season in the Big Ten conference with a road victory. Watkins recorded her 7th straight game of 20-plus points. Iraifen and Watkins combined for 38 of USC’s 66 points. 

USC made their presence felt in the paint, outrebounding Oregon 45 to 31. The Ducks shot 15% from three-point range on 20 attempts.

At halftime, USC led 40 to 19.

USC coughed up the ball 22 times, their 5th game with 15-plus turnovers. Oregon had 16 turnovers. 

The Trojans did not score a field goal in the final 4:54 of the game. 

Trojans’ Von Oelhoffen scored 11 points. Rayah Marshall scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. 

Ducks’ Deja Kelly had 16 points and 4 rebounds. Peyton Scott scored 13 points.
