SAN ANTONIO –– Dalton Knecht scored 20 points and eight rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Lakers (11-7) to a 119-101 victory over the San Antonio Spurs (10-9) Wednesday night before 19,120 at the Frost Bank Center.
Seven players, including all five starters, scored in double figures for the Lakers as they ended their three-game skid.
LeBron James had a triple-double, scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, but has a plus/minus of -71 on the season. The Lakers, statistically, are a better team with LeBron on the bench.
Los Angeles took a 58-47 lead into the half as Austin Reaves hit a three over the outstretched arms of Victor Wembanyama as time expired.
Anthony Davis scored 19 points and 14 rebounds, Rui Hachimura scored 16 points and Austin Reaves scored 13. Los Angeles got a jolt of bench scoring as D'Angelo Russell scored 17 points, and Max Christie scored 12.
Wembanyama scored 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs. Harrison Barnes scored 19 points and Julian Champagnie scored 18 points.
