WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Clippers bounce back after Monday’s loss to demolish the Washington Wizards 121-96 on Wednesday night. Los Angeles never trailed in this game dominating on both ends of the floor. The Clippers are now 12-8 and 2-1 on their four-game roadtrip. Next up for the Clippers is a Wednesday night matchup against the Washington Wizards.
Here are some takeaways from the Clippers win against the Wizards:
Vintage Harden
James Harden got things started early for the Clippers.
Harden scored 23 points in the first quarter going 9-11 from the field and 5-7 from 3.
Harden’s early offensive onslaught led to an early lead for the Clippers that they never relinquished.
Harden looked like he was back in Houston with tonight performance.
He continued his brilliant play from the first quarter and finished the game with 43 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds.
This was the best performance of the year for Harden who is 35 years old playing in his 15th year.
Bounce back win for Los Angeles
The Clippers were coming off a tough blowout loss to the Boston Celtics on Monday.
Sometimes teams carry over some of the bad play that affecting them in a game like Monday but the Clippers were ready to makeup for their bad performance.
The Clippers were able to hold the Wizards under 100 points and won every quarter tonight.
Every player on the roster registered minutes and this was a complete game for the Clippers.
When your team is well-coached like the Clippers bouncing back after a bad loss is what you will see.
It’s Miller time
With Norman Powell still out due to his hamstring injury some players are receiving more minutes and are playing well.
The first guy that comes to mind is Jordan Miller.
The second-year pro out of Miami has given the Clippers some positive minutes. Tonight he played his best game of the year so far.
Miller scored 15 points on 7-10 shooting in 20 minutes. His ability to score when needed and defend may lead to more minutes even with the return of top guy.
Just like on a Saturday night, Miller time is a good time for the Clippers.
