BOSTON -- One night after dominating the Philadelphia 76ers, the Clippers were back in action, this time against the defending champion Boston Celtics.
These games are where you can tell that there are levels of hierarchy to the NBA, as the Clippers got destroyed, 126-94 on Monday night.
Without Norman Powell and Kawhi Leonard yet again, it was always going to be hard to compete with a team as good as the Celtics, but what they did from three-point range was historic.
In the second quarter, the Celtics shot 12/17 from 3, and set the season-high for most in any quarter in the NBA all season. There are not many teams that can beat that barrage of scoring in such a short period of time, so there is a silver lining for the Clippers.
It being the second night of a back-to-back, where the Clippers lead this season with 5 in total so far, this was not a surprise.

However, there were some bright spots for the team. Ivica Zubac finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds, Jordan Miller had a solid night once again with 10 points and the Clippers made a slight comeback in the 3rd quarter.
After being down by 29 at the half, the Clippers cut the lead down to 15 in a matter of minutes to start the 3rd quarter.

After trading buckets with the Celtics, Payton Pritchard, Derrick White and Jaylen Brown sealed the deal, lengthening the lead to over 20 in the 4th, thus emptying the benches.
This Clipper team should still hold their heads high. They are 11-8, hold a top 10 defensive rating in the NBA and have won 7 in a row at home.
Now, the Clippers will move onto Washington to face the Wizards on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 4:00 PM PST.
