Zay Flowers #4 of the Baltimore Ravens is tackled by Kristian Fulton #7 of the Los Angeles Chargers and Elijah Molden #22 of the Los Angeles Chargers during the second half at SoFi Stadium on November 25, 2024 in Inglewood, California.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- — The Chargers four-game winning streak comes to an end with the Baltimore Ravens knocking them off 30-23 on Monday night . Los Angeles jumped out to an early lead but couldn’t maintain it against the Ravens. With the defeat, the Chargers are now 7-4 and still in the mix when it comes to AFC Wild Card race.

Here are takeaways from the Chargers win over the Ravens:

Herbert using his legs

Justin Herbert scored the first touchdown of the game when he found the end zone from five-yards out with 9:45 remaining in the first quarter.

Early in the season after suffering a high ankle sprain, Herbert found himself in the pocket more times than not.

As the season has progressed Herbert has become healthier and is utilizing his legs more.

Whether to pick up yards or scramble to find a receiver downfield. It makes him that much dangerous and adds more to the Chargers offense.

Herbert finished the game with just 29 yards rushing on four attempts but looked much more mobile.

The offensive line struggle for Chargers

Though Herbert looked good and spry.

He spent too much of the night trying to make something out of nothing our being sacked because of the play of his offensive line.

Herbert was sacked four times by the Ravens defense.

The offensive line was called for a total of six holding penalties against Baltimore.

There is a lot of money and high draft capital in the offensive line and they are expected to perform much better if they want to compete against the top teams in the AFC.

Jackson & Ravens offense gets the best of Chargers defense

The Chargers were able to hold down the Ravens offense in the first quarter but that’s where it stopped.

The Ravens scored 14 points in the second quarter and finished up scoring 30 points in the win.

The Ravens rushing attack took over with 213 yards. Derrick Henry accounted for 140 of those yards.

With Chargers honing in on taking away Lamar Jackson it allowed the running game to pop some big runs including Ravens backup running back Justice Hill’s 51-yard touchdown run.

Dobbins injures knee

Chargers starting running back JK Dobbins left the game in the first half and was eventually ruled out.

He tried to loosen up and run before heading to the locker room to be further evaluated by Los Angeles' medical staff. The medical staff didn’t feel he was fit to return.

Dobbins has a history of dealing with lengthy injuries and played just nine total games across the 2021-23 NFL seasons while dealing with a torn ACL and an Achilles injury.

Before exiting the game, Dobbins touched the ball nine times for 59 yards (40 rushing, 19 receiving).

There has been no word on the severity of the injury as of yet.
