LOS ANGELES — Hannah Hidalgo scored 24 points, 8 assists, 5 steals, and Olivia Miles scored 20 points to lift Notre Dame (5-0) to a 74-61 nonconference victory Saturday over USC (4-1) before 7,894 at Galen Center.
USC, in its first loss of the season, was held to its lowest point total of the season, 61 points. Notre Dame’s ball pressure forced the Trojans to cough the ball up 21 times — 2nd game with 20+ turnovers.
The Trojans never held a lead in the game, the first time since February 2022. The Fighting Irish capitalized off USC’s mistake, scoring 22 points off turnovers.
At halftime, Notre Dame led 35-28.
