LOS ANGELES -- Eric Dailey Jr. was perfect from the field in the first half, and finished the game with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting as UCLA defeated Idaho State, 84-70, at Pauley Pavilion to improve to 4-1 on the season. Tyler Bilodeau continued his hot start to the season. Shooting a perfect 4-of-4 from three and finishing the game with 20 points.
Sebastian Mack was also a big factor getting to the line 16 times. Mack converted 15 of those free throws, finishing the game with a team high 21 points.
UCLA has struggled from three so far this year, shooting under 30% from three on the year. Today they shot a staggering 64% from three, and 57% from the field overall.
The bruins led by as much as 28 at one point, but Idaho Sate more than cut that lead in half late. Mack's ability to get to the rim proved to be too much and secured the win for UCLA.
Isaiah Griffin led the bengals with 16 points and actually scored the first twelve points for Idaho Sate.
With this win the UCLA improves to 4-1
Next up for UCLA is local Big West for Cal State Fullerton on Friday.
