LOS ANGELES – Chibuzo Agbo scored 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and Terrance Williams scored 20 points to lift USC (4-1) to a 82-68 nonconference victory Wednesday over San Jose State (1-5) before 3186 at Galen Center.
Agbo came off the bench for the first time in five games and scored a season-high. He finished 4 of 7 from three. Last year with Boise State, Agbo shot 40 percent from three-point range.
USC shot a season-best 45 percent from three-point range. The Trojans outmanned the Spartans in the paint and outrebounded San Jose 35-26.
At halftime, USC led 42-35.
USC had four players in double figures, with only one player being a starter – Matt Knowling. Starters Desmond Claude and Saint Thomas combined for 6 points.
USC’s Wesley Yates scored 14 points off the bench. Knowling scored 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Spartans’ Josh Uduje scored 25 points, shooting 100 percent from three. Will McClendon scored 18 points.
