The early season road woes continued for the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday evening as they fell short in a tough 4-3 overtime loss to the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena.
Vegas got off to a hot start early, using scores from Pavel Dorofeyev and Nicolas Roy to claim the lead in the first period.

Dorofeyev claimed sole possession of the team lead with his eighth score this season. Roy followed him up three minutes later, cashing in off a flashy pass from Ivan Barbashev.

Roy, who also delivered an assist on Dorofeyev's score, became the eighth different Golden Knight this season to reach the 10-point mark. Vegas currently has the second most players with double-digit points in the NHL.
Seattle, and more specifically Brandon Tanev, managed to fight their way back into things throughout the rest of the contest. Tanev scored back-to-back goals, his second and third this season, to get the Kraken back even at two.
It was Tanev's first multi-goal game since March 2023, snapping a 10-game streak in which he failed to find the net.
Three minutes into the third, Oliver Bjorkstrand knocked in his fourth of the year to give Seattle their first lead of the game after trailing 2-0 early.
However, Alex Pietrangelo played hero for the Golden Knights, delivering a clutch game-tying score with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.

With a point secured, Vegas headed to overtime looking to earn their second road win of the season. Instead, Jared McCann quickly ended things for the Kraken with a breakaway goal to seal the deal.
Golden Knights' goalie Adin Hill saved 28 of 32, snapping a four-game win streak in the process.

The Golden Knights have now taken just one road game in six tries to start the year. They took their second overtime loss, with the first one coming October 19 at the Florida Panthers.
Seattle was able to snap a four-game losing streak, improving to 6-8-1 this season. Vegas fell to 9-3-2.
They will now head home as the Carolina Hurricanes come into town on Monday night. Carolina is off to a red-hot start this year, sitting at 10-2 and atop the Metropolitan Division.
