SEATTLE –– Demarcus Robinson caught a one-handed, 39-yard touchdown with a defender draped on him in overtime to lead the Los Angeles Rams (4-4) to a 26-20 victory over the Seattle Seahawks (4-5) Sunday at Lumen Field before 68,632.
After stopping Seattle on fourth and short on the opening possession of overtime, Matthew Stafford wasted little time to end the game, throwing to Robinson, who had Seahawks cornerback Tariq Woolen draped over him.
Robinson plucked the ball out of the air with his right hand and secured it against his chest as he fell to the turf five yards deep in the endzone.
Los Angeles put up 366 yards, Cooper Kupp receiving 104 yards, Robinson for 94. Stafford completed passes to eight different receivers.
Stafford threw for 298 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for Los Angeles. After losing four of their first five games, the Rams have won three consecutive games after their bye week.
He was productive against the Seahawks from a clean pocket, completing 22 of 29 attempts for 247 yards and two touchdowns, including his game-winning 39-yard TD to Demarcus Robinson in overtime.
Stafford struggled when facing pressure as he completed only three passes on 15 attempts for 51 yards and an interception, translating to a 20.0% completion percentage, tied for the 2nd-lowest in a game by a quarterback with at least 10 such attempts this season.
Los Angeles rallied back from 13-3 and carried a 20-13 lead into the fourth quarter. Seattle tied the game with 51 seconds remaining when Geno Smith found Jaxson Smith-Njigba for a 14-yard touchdown.
Kam Kinchens intercepted Smith twice on the day, returning one for a 103-yard touchdown. Jaylen McCollough made a mark with his fourth interception this season, leading all rookies in this category.
After Puka Nacua was ejected from the game after punching Tyrel Dodson in the second quarter, Robinson loomed huge for the Rams.
The game began with eight punts and an interception before Josh Karty kicked a 38-yard field goal with 3:31 remaining in the first half.
Smith connected with Tyler Lockett on a 30-yard touchdown to give the Seahawks a 6-3 lead after Jason Myers missed the point after attempt.
The minute of chaos in the second quarter saw Nacua's disqualification, and Smith connect with Smith-Njigba on a 24-yard touchdown for a 13-3 lead with: 05 seconds remaing in the half.
In the Rams' first possession of the second half, Stafford found Robinson for a 1-yard touchdown, making the score 13-10.
The Rams defense generated season highs in pressure rate (59.1%) and sack rate (15.9%) in Week 9 against the Seahawks.
Kobie Turner led the team with a season-high nine pressures, including a career-high 28.1% pressure rate (min. 10 pass rushes). Rookie Braden Fiske recorded six pressures, which is also a career-best. The Rams recorded 12 quick pressures and a 27.3% quick pressure rate, both season-highs for the unit.
Stafford went 25 of 44 for 298 yards. Kupp caught 11 passes for 104 yards. Robinson caught six passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Kyren Williams carried 22 times for 64 yards. After scoring in 10 consecutive games, he failed to score.
Smith passed for 363 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions for the Seahawks. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught seven passes for a career-best 180 yards and two touchdowns.
