Trout has been regarded as one of baseball's finest and likely solidified himself as a first-ballot Hall of Famer after winning three American League MVP's, a nine-time Silver Slugger recipient, and is an 11-time All-Star.
However, during the last few seasons Trout has struggled to stay healthy and away from the Angels injured list.
Before leaving Tuesday's game, the expectation for Trout was to return to the Angels lineup by the end of the week. Now, that timeline is likely to be determined.
